Do we require insurance when renting a storage unit?
Yes, at Pioneer Valley Storage we require all tenets to have some form of insurance for their storage unit. You can provide proof of your own insurance as you are checking out, or you can purchase one of our select insurance plans. We offer a few different options, so you are able to choose the best for your situation. Ask one of our storage experts at any of our storage facilities which plan would best suit your needs.
Are locks provided or sold on site?
Yes, we sell a wide selection of storage supplies—including locks—in our storage office. Choose from packing and moving supplies that include box cutters, packing tape, furniture covers, locks and more at any of our facility’s offices today!
How do I pay my bill online?
Navigate to the top of our website, and you will see a button that says “Pay Bill.” Click this button to login to your account. From here, click on the storage unit in your account that you wish to pay the bill for. You can also choose to prepay for your upcoming month’s bill.
How do I reach someone after hours?
If you have an urgent issue after business hours, please call any of our property’s office numbers, and press 1 to speak with a representative. You can also submit a contact form through our website’s contact page. Feel free to call or send us an email at any time!
Can I rent short term?
Yes, our storage facilities offers convenient month-to-month rental arrangements. At Pioneer Valley Storage, you will never be stuck in a long-term contract. Rent for a month, a few months, or find your long-term storage solution with us.
Do you have movers?
No, currently our storage facilities do not offer any type of moving service. We do, however, include our Neighborhood Friends in store, an initiative we started to support local businesses. Visit our storage facility to see a list of Neighborhood Friends to find a local mover near you today!
Do you have truck rentals?
No, we currently do not offer on-site truck rentals. Please call the storage office of your individual storage facility for more information on local truck rentals.
Do you have storage auctions?
Yes, our storage facilities do hold storage auctions. Auctions of storage units occur after fulfilling the state lien law procedure of someone who has not made a payment on their unit. Storage auctions aren’t our favorite side of the business, but they are a part of it. Storage auctions will be held online at Lockerfox.com, a free self storage auction directory offering real time auction listings, alerts, tools, how-to resources and more. Simply visit the site, and entire the zip code of our storage facility to check-in on any of our current storage auctions.
Can I live or sleep in a storage unit?
No, living in a storage unit is prohibited by various local and federal housing laws. Additionally, living in a storage unit is considered extremely unsafe. Storage unit doors lock from the outside and do not have running water to support a residence.
What storage unit size do I need?
At Pioneer Valley Storage, we offer a variety of storage unit sizes to meet any renter’s needs. Depending on the amount of items you are looking to store, how long you are looking to store, and what you are trying to store, different storage unit sizes might serve you better. When I rent online, can I access my storage unit right away?
Yes. When you rent a storage unit through our online storage rentals you are able to access your storage unit immediately once you receive your confirmation email. The online rental process lets you choose your storage unit and pay for it within minutes – it’s that simple. Once the transaction is completed, you can move into your storage unit right away.
Can I access my storage unit at any time?
No, but our storage facilities do offer gate hour access to storage units. Our facility’s gate hours vary from location to location. Please check with the office at your specific Pioneer Valley Storage location for more information on gate hour access.
